Applicable Law

If any matter concerning this website "MetaConvert" shall be brought before a court of law, pre- or post-arbitration, viewer, visitor, member, subscriber or customer agrees to that the sole and proper jurisdiction to be the state, city and country of the website owner unless otherwise here specified. In the event that litigation is in a court of law, the proper court shall be the competent court of Thanh Hoa Province, Vietnam.

File ownership and privacy

MetaConvert is a browser-based conversion tool. All file processing happens entirely within your browser on your own device — your files are never uploaded to our servers. Your files are yours. These Terms don't give us any rights to your files. We do not access, store, or retain any content you convert. No file data ever leaves your device.

Prohibition of Converting Copyrighted Content

User Responsibility: Users are strictly prohibited from uploading, sharing, or distributing any content that infringes on the copyrights or other intellectual property rights of any third party. By using our services, you agree that you will not convert any content you do not have the legal right to distribute.

Prohibition of Circumvention Tools: You agree not to use our services to convert content from sources that use technological protection measures (TPMs) or digital rights management (DRM) systems, such as YouTube, iTunes, or other streaming services, without proper authorization. Any attempt to bypass or circumvent DRM or copy-protection technology is strictly prohibited.

Consequences of Violation: If you violate these terms, your account may be suspended or terminated, and any infringing activity will be addressed promptly. Repeated violations may result in a permanent ban on our services.

User Verification and Accountability: Users may be required to verify their ownership or rights to any content they convert. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of our service does not violate any laws or third-party rights.

Monitoring and Compliance: While we do not actively monitor all activity on our platform, we reserve the right to review, remove, or disable access to any content that we believe, in our sole discretion, violates our terms, including but not limited to, content that infringes on intellectual property rights.

DMCA Compliance: MetaConvert complies with the provisions of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe that your copyrighted work has been made accessible through our platform without your permission, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice to our designated agent.

Submission of DMCA Notices: To file a DMCA takedown notice, please provide the following information:

• A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf;
• Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
• Identification of the infringing material and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material;
• Your contact information, including your address, telephone number, and email address;
• A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
• A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Counter-Notification: If you believe that your content was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification. To file a counter-notification, please provide the following information:

• Your physical or electronic signature;
• Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or disabled;
• A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification of the material;
• Your name, address, telephone number, and email address;
• A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the competent court in your district, or if your address is outside of Vietnam, the jurisdiction of the competent court of Thanh Hoa Province, Vietnam, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notification or an agent of such person.

Repeat Infringers: MetaConvert will terminate user accounts determined to be repeat infringers.

Billing

MetaConvert offers a one-time Lifetime Supporter plan. There is no recurring subscription — you are billed once at purchase and access is permanent. All purchases are processed through Ko-fi.

You or MetaConvert may cancel or terminate your access at any time in accordance with these terms. Any cancellation will apply going forward; existing access already granted is handled as described in our Service Agreement.

Refunds

Due to the nature of our product (immediate access to the product use), we do not provide refunds except in cases requested by mandatory law or where otherwise explicitly communicated to the user. Please refer to our Service Agreement for full refund terms.

All fees are exclusive of taxes, levies, or duties imposed by taxing authorities, and you shall be responsible for payment of all such taxes, levies, or duties.
